I didn't enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed Janet Evanovich's other books。 Oh， it was fine as an adventure thriller， I guess， but not really what I look for in her books。 There was SO much action， it was all plot and action， and very little character development。 Sure， this was the 7th book in the series， so by now you should know the characters， but。。。 what if I'd just picked up this book by itself？ Would I know enough about the people to care about them？For me what makes Evanovich's boo I didn't enjoy this book as much as I have enjoyed Janet Evanovich's other books。 Oh， it was fine as an adventure thriller， I guess， but not really what I look for in her books。 There was SO much action， it was all plot and action， and very little character development。 Sure， this was the 7th book in the series， so by now you should know the characters， but。。。 what if I'd just picked up this book by itself？ Would I know enough about the people to care about them？For me what makes Evanovich's books enjoyable is the interaction among the characters， the repartee， the warmth or friction。 This was pretty much abandoned in favor of plot plot plot。 I'm wondering how much of this was her work， and how much was Steve Hamilton's （her co-author）。 。。。more

This was better than #6。 It seems like the author actually remembered what happened previously。 I do miss the team and elaborate cons from the earlier books。 I guess it is going in more of a follow the clues thriller direction and less elaborate heist direction。
